Tax audit support from WealthWise covers preparing your company for an audit, replying to the tax authority's requests, having our specialist present during the audit and dealing with its results. The service is for LLCs and sole proprietors in Tashkent and across Uzbekistan that have received a notice of a desk audit or a tax audit, or want their books checked in advance. Premium plan clients already have audit support included; one-off support is quoted after we review the situation.
Tax audit support in Uzbekistan: what we do
- Analyse the notice or request: type of audit, period, list of questions and response deadlines.
- Run a quick review of the books for the audited period to find weak spots before the inspector does.
- Collect and organise documents: contracts, primary documents, electronic invoices, reconciliations.
- Prepare written explanations and, if needed, corrected returns.
- Attend the audit and communicate with the inspector on accounting matters.
- Analyse the audit report, prepare objections and help with an appeal to the higher tax authority.
Preparing for a tax audit
It is best to start before the audit. Tax authorities usually examine the last 3 years — since 1 January 2024 that is the statute of limitations for taxes. So we review that period: does reported data match electronic invoices, are there discrepancies with counterparties, were rates and incentives applied correctly. If the books are seriously neglected, accounting recovery comes first.
Time is short in a desk audit: a request issued on the results of a desk audit must be answered within 5 days, during which you can file corrected returns or objections. So it is better to contact us as soon as you receive the document. A detailed checklist is in How to prepare for a tax inspection.
Who it is for
- Companies that have received a discrepancy notice, a request or an audit decision.
- Businesses without an in-house accountant, where the director or an outside specialist keeps the books.
- Foreign-owned companies that need a specialist to explain their position in Russian and Uzbek.
- Companies that want a pre-audit review before a transaction or a change of accountant.
How the work goes
- Request — send us the notice you received or describe the situation.
- Assessment — the same or the next working day we give you an action plan, timing and price.
- Contract and NDA.
- Preparation and audit — documents, explanations, taking part in communication with the tax authority.
- Results — analysis of the report, objections and recommendations to reduce future risks.
Tax audit support pricing
Audit support is included in the Premium plan (from 5,000,000 UZS per month). One-off support is priced after reviewing the task. The price depends on the type of audit (desk audit or tax audit), the period under review, the number of questions in the request, the state of the books and urgency. For ongoing protection from errors, consider tax advisory.
Received a notice? Write to us — during working hours we reply within 30 minutes. We do not promise "zero fines": the outcome depends on the facts, but we make sure your position is prepared and backed by documents.
Rules are described as of 2026; legislation changes, so check your specific situation with a specialist.
Frequently asked questions
What period can the tax authority audit?
Since 1 January 2024 the statute of limitations for taxes is 3 years, so the audited period usually does not exceed three years.
How much time do we have to respond in a desk audit?
A request issued on the results of a desk audit must be answered within 5 days. During this time you can file corrected returns or submit objections.
Can you join if the audit is already under way?
Yes. We start by studying the requests and correspondence received so far, then join the current stage of the audit.
What if we disagree with the audit report?
We prepare written objections with supporting documents and, if needed, an appeal to the higher tax authority. We check appeal deadlines against the specific decision.
